During the 1990's, Jill Pulvirent worked as a social worker in the psychiatric units at Bellevue Hospital and Beth Israel Medical Center in New York City and Fair Oaks Psychiatric Hospital in Summit, New Jersey where she provided individual, group, marital, and family therapy for both patients and families.

In 1998, Jill Pulvirent started a therapy program at B'nai Jeshurun Congregation in Short Hills, New Jersey where she created and led a number of group counseling sessions related to bereavement, divorce, caregivers, and new moms.

In 2002, Jill Pulvirent opened a private practice in Short Hills, New Jersey providing individual grief counseling and bereavement group therapy. Jill has also worked at Sunrise Detox in Stirling, New Jersey as a detox therapist providing patients and their families with support through both individual and group therapy.

In addition to her private practice in Chatham, New Jersey, Jill Pulvirent is Program Director of Irvington Family Services in Irvington, New Jersey.
